Unknown Regions Army in Brief

The Unknown Regions Army is, at this time, a random collection of men, a Corps or two at most in size, mostly serving Naval units that have been assigned to the Unknown Regions on "mapping expeditions." They have no clear organizational structure, since most of the Imperial assets in the Unknown Regions are there on long-term deployments -- years long, even decades, in some cases. Since it lacks organization beyond perhaps the odd Colonel commanding the troops aboard a squadron of ships, the Wild Space Regional Army Commanding Officer has nominal control over the Unknown Regions units since he is in the closest position to lend them assistance -- should he choose to.
