Imperial Security Bureau Mission Statement
The Imperial Security Bureau is the Empire's primary domestic security agency, having being granted jurisdiction over both members of the Empire and Imperial Citizens. Its core purpose is to uphold national security and neutralise internal threats to the Galactic Empire. The ISB is a secret police force; its operations are not usually discussed publicly, and it is not restricted in the methods it is permitted to use to carry out its duties. The ISB has a presence on every single world in the Galactic Empire, and has the authority to supersede investigations by both local law enforcement agencies and the Imperial Office of Criminal Investigations if the issue is designated as a matter of state security. The ISB is obliged to keep a Sector Moff informed of their activities within a particular sector, but ultimately reports to the Select Committee. The organisation is headquartered in the ISB Central Office on Coruscant.
