Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health is a department of the Imperial Government responsible for promoting the health and wellbeing of all Imperial citizens. This department also funds and oversees medical and biological research. It is led by the Minister of Health and its headquarters is in Imperial City.

The Ministry of Health has identified and categorised trillions of diseases and ailments to form the Imperial Medical Database, a record of all known health conditions and methods to alleviate them.

Sub-Agencies
The Ministry of Health operates a number of sub-agencies dedicated to various specific tasks. These include:-

Department for Epidemic Prevention – Responsible for identifying and preventing epidemics and pandemics. This department also provides advice to the Imperial Government regarding quarantine measures and other actions required in the event of disease epidemics.

Board of Foodstuffs and Consumables – Responsible for monitoring the quality and safety of foods, medicines and other consumable items.

Bioengineer Corps – Responsible for retrieving, studying and bioengineering various plants and animals found across the Galaxy.

Institute of Military Medicine – Responsible for research and development of medical techniques for military uses. Many of the projects this department undertakes are classified.

Medical Records Department - Responsible for creating and maintaining the medical records of all Imperial citizens and visitors to the Galactic Empire.
