Ministry of Tourism

Purrgil-class starcruiser passenger liner over a resort world The Ministry of Tourism is responsible for the promotion, regulation, and development of tourism across the Galactic Empire. It oversees travel incentives, planetary attractions, hospitality standards, and the marketing of approved vacation destinations to both Imperial citizens and select off-world visitors.

Established under the New Order, the Ministry works to strengthen loyalty and unity by encouraging citizens to visit historically significant Imperial worlds, cultural sites, and carefully managed resort planets. It also generates revenue for the Empire while ensuring that tourism activities remain orderly and aligned with Imperial values.

The Ministry regulates travel permits for leisure purposes, approves and inspects major hotels and resorts, and coordinates large-scale public events and festivals. It collaborates with planetary governors and the Ministry of Culture to present a positive image of Imperial prosperity and stability to the galaxy.

Through controlled promotion and strict oversight, the Ministry of Tourism helps reinforce the perception of the Empire as a safe, ordered, and culturally rich civilization while discouraging unregulated or subversive travel.

The Minister of Tourism reports directly to the Ruling Council and holds authority over tourism policy, travel incentives, destination approval, and hospitality regulation throughout the galaxy.
