Description
Two immense forward guns fire in sequence: an ion pulse collapses shields and disrupts systems before a plasma discharge strikes the exposed target. Wing-mounted turbolaser batteries provide conventional fire, though the ship remains dependent upon its axial weapons and accompanying escorts in a fleet engagement. Heavy armor protects the cumbersome hull while its command facilities coordinate assault groups and orbital fire missions. The class is committed where concentrated offensive power is more important than speed, flexible firing arcs, or a large secondary battery.
