The Imperial Army

Army troopers The Imperial Army is the ground warfare branch of the Galactic Empire. It is responsible for planetary defense, large scale surface operations, occupation duties, and supporting the Navy and Starfighter Corps in combined arms campaigns across the galaxy.

Overview

Reorganized after the Clone Wars from the Grand Army of the Republic and numerous loyalist militias, the Imperial Army is a highly professional force built around merit, discipline, and overwhelming firepower. It operates as a structured service where advancement is based on ability, loyalty, and proven performance in service to the Empire.

Leadership

The Imperial Army is directed by Army Command, led by the Army Chief of Staff. At the highest level is the Grand Generalcy, the pinnacle rank of the Army. These exceptional officers are personally appointed by Emperor Draco Tanos and represent the highest standard of excellence in the Imperial Army.

Mission

The Imperial Army exists to secure and hold planetary surfaces, eliminate ground based threats to the New Order, and project Imperial power wherever required. It works in close coordination with the Navy and Starfighter Corps to achieve complete victory in any theater of operations.

Role in the Empire

Beyond combat, the Imperial Army maintains order on countless worlds, supports reconstruction efforts, and serves as a visible symbol of Imperial strength and stability to both loyal citizens and potential adversaries.
