Description
Developed from the CC-7700 hull family, the CC-9600 removes the earlier vessel’s gravity-well projectors and devotes the recovered volume to weapons, armor, shielding, propulsion, and troop facilities. Turbolaser and ion-cannon batteries permit the frigate to fight independently or reinforce an escort screen, while tractor projectors support capture and recovery operations. Retractable stabilizing fins allow atmospheric maneuvering and surface landings, enabling a regiment to deploy directly from orbit to a secured landing zone.
