Description
Four gravity-well projectors generate overlapping interdiction fields that prevent hyperspace departure or force transiting vessels into realspace. The projectors and their power systems replace a substantial portion of the conventional battery and hangar volume of a standard fleet destroyer. Remaining turbolasers, ion cannons, tractor beams, reinforced shields, and a reduced fighter group allow the ship to enforce its own containment zone. Interdictors anchor blockades, close avenues of withdrawal, isolate objectives, and shape fleet engagements by controlling where hostile vessels may enter or leave hyperspace.
