Description
Twenty-eight launch tubes occupy the vehicle’s elevated battery. The six-person crew receives targeting data from observers, selects the required concussion warhead pattern, and releases the full or partial salvo before withdrawing to reload. The launcher carries no reserve missiles or defensive armament; a companion ammunition vehicle and escort are therefore integral to every battery. Its mobility allows commanders to mass missile fire without permanently emplacing the launchers.
