Description
The massive hull concentrates armor, power generation, and heavy batteries around a command citadel and a prominent ventral reactor enclosure. Originally constrained by sector-defense requirements, the class emphasizes endurance and positional strength over rapid deployment. Heavy turbolasers, ion cannon, missile batteries, tractor beams, and layered point defenses allow a Mandator to dominate a fixed battlespace while its flight groups and embarked troops protect surrounding installations. Refit programs have integrated surviving vessels into the Imperial Navy as strategic defensive assets.
