Description
One pod contains propulsion and control equipment while the second carries the heavy weapon. Both pods mount twin ion engines, giving the airframe greater speed than a standard TIE fighter. The craft receives navigation, targeting, and hyperspace authorization from a remote-control vessel, allowing experimental squadrons to attack without exposing pilots.
