Description
Large antennae and high-gain sensor arrays surround the command pod, while shortened swept radiator panels reduce interference with dorsal scanners. A single laser cannon provides limited defense without displacing mission equipment. Unlike the lighter TIE/rc, the Vanguard carries a deflector shield to protect its pilot and collected intelligence during withdrawal. Secure communications transmit reconnaissance directly to fleet and Starfighter Corps command networks.
