Description

Thousands of dedicated energy receptors continuously examine a shield network for recurring power fluctuations. Once a sufficiently weak sector is isolated, five hundred proton-torpedo tubes concentrate a precisely timed salvo upon a minute area while the platform’s turbolaser batteries suppress nearby defenses. The enormous spherical hull carries its own engineering, command, security, troop, cargo, and shuttle establishments for prolonged independent operations, but relies upon an escorting fleet for protection from hostile capital ships and starfighters. Battlestation Command deploys Torpedo Spheres through Siege Operations when a fortified world cannot be reduced by conventional blockade or bombardment.
