Description
Army assault armor provides greater torso, shoulder, arm, and leg protection than ordinary field armor without imposing the full encumbrance of heavy armor. Its sealed equipment housings resist sand, salt, moisture, and industrial contamination, while the helmet integrates communications and filtered air support. Squad leaders and officers use subdued field-gray rank markings that remain identifiable without compromising unit camouflage.
