Description
The permanent hull contains command, engineering, life-support, quarters, hyperdrive, shields, and a light defensive battery. A mission module can be removed and replaced at a properly equipped yard within one day. This common frame reduces the number of specialized hulls required by the fleet while permitting commanders to assemble medical, intelligence, rescue, exploration, or cargo support groups for a particular operation.
