Book V — Crimes Against the Empire

Enacted by the Imperial Senate pursuant to the Imperial Charter and granted Imperial Assent by His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Draco Tanos.

Book V protects the constitutional order established by the Imperial Charter. These offenses are directed not against lawful political participation or criticism, but against violence, espionage, terrorism, armed rebellion, and other acts intended to overthrow, undermine, or materially endanger the Galactic Empire.

Title I — Treason and Loyalty

Article 401 — High Treason
High Treason is the intentional betrayal of the Galactic Empire through armed rebellion, collaboration with hostile powers during war, or attempts to unlawfully overthrow the constitutional government or Imperial Throne.

High Treason constitutes a Class V Felony.

Article 402 — Treason
A person commits Treason when they knowingly provide substantial aid to enemies of the Empire, betray classified military or governmental information, or materially assist efforts to wage war against the Empire.

Article 403 — Misprision of Treason
Knowingly concealing High Treason or Treason without promptly reporting it to competent Imperial authorities constitutes Misprision of Treason.

Title II — Insurrection and Terrorism

Article 404 — Armed Insurrection
Organizing, leading, financing, or participating in an armed uprising against the lawful authority of the Empire constitutes Armed Insurrection.

Article 405 — Terrorism
A person commits Terrorism when they employ violence or intimidation against civilians, public officials, or public infrastructure for political, ideological, religious, or criminal purposes.

Article 406 — Financing Terrorism
Knowingly providing funds, equipment, training, transportation, intelligence, or other material support to terrorist organizations is prohibited.

Title III — Espionage and Sabotage

Article 407 — Espionage
Knowingly obtaining, transmitting, or delivering classified information to a foreign power, hostile organization, or unauthorized person constitutes Espionage.

Article 408 — Sabotage
Knowingly damaging, disabling, or interfering with military installations, strategic industries, communications, transportation, or public infrastructure for hostile purposes constitutes Sabotage.

Article 409 — Disclosure of Classified Information
Knowingly disclosing classified information without lawful authorization is prohibited.

Title IV — Constitutional Offenses

Article 410 — Unlawful Usurpation of Authority
Knowingly exercising governmental authority without lawful appointment, election, commission, or delegation constitutes Unlawful Usurpation of Authority.

Article 411 — Counterfeiting Imperial Authority
Forging Imperial warrants, commissions, seals, proclamations, Edicts, or other official instruments constitutes a Class IV or Class V Felony.

Article 412 — Interference with Constitutional Government
Knowingly using unlawful force, intimidation, or fraud to prevent the lawful operation of the Imperial Senate, the Courts, the Ministries, or the Imperial Throne constitutes a serious offense against the constitutional order.

Title V — General Principles

Article 413 — Lawful Political Participation
Nothing in this Book shall be construed to prohibit lawful elections, peaceful political advocacy, petitioning government, lawful criticism, or other rights protected by the Imperial Charter.

Article 414 — Aggravating Circumstances
Offenses under this Book shall receive enhanced penalties when committed during wartime, in concert with hostile foreign powers, organized criminal enterprises, or where mass casualties result.

Article 415 — Preservation of the Constitutional Order
The purpose of this Book is the protection of the Imperial Charter, the lawful institutions of government, and the peace and security of the Galactic Empire.
