Imperial X-wing superiority snubfighters

The Grand Wings stand outside the normal Order of Battle of the Imperial Starfighter Corps. These elite formations are commanded by Grand Marshals and are reserved for the most critical campaigns and strategic operations across the galaxy.

Role

Grand Wings represent the concentrated striking power of the Starfighter Corps. They are formed when the Empire requires overwhelming space superiority for major offensives, the defense of vital systems, or other high priority missions that exceed the capabilities of a standard Numbered Aero Force.

Command

Each Grand Wing is commanded by a Grand Marshal. These officers report directly to Starfighter Command and the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces. Appointment to command a Grand Wing is one of the highest honors in the Starfighter Corps.

Composition

Grand Wings are significantly larger and more powerful than standard formations. They typically include multiple specialized Wings drawn from across the Corps, extensive support elements, and the most advanced starfighters available. Their exact composition is tailored to the mission and the Grand Marshal’s requirements.
