Imperial Grand Marshalcy

Imperial X-wing superiority snubfighters The Grand Marshalcy is the highest rank within the Imperial Starfighter Corps. Grand Marshals are the elite of the elite, personally appointed by Emperor Draco Tanos for exceptional skill, leadership, and unwavering loyalty to the New Order.

Role

Grand Marshals serve as the senior most officers of the Starfighter Corps. They advise Starfighter Command on strategic matters, lead major campaigns, and represent the highest standard of excellence among Imperial pilots and officers. While the Chief of Starfighter Operations holds the day-to-day command of the Corps, the Grand Marshals stand as the living embodiment of the Corps’ ideals.

Appointment

Only a small number of officers ever attain the rank of Grand Marshal. Appointment is made solely by the Emperor and is based on a lifetime of distinguished service in the cockpit and in command. Grand Marshals wear distinctive rank insignia and are granted significant authority within their assigned theaters of operation.

Relationship to Starfighter Command

The Grand Marshalcy works in close coordination with Starfighter Command. Grand Marshals may be assigned to lead the Grand Star Commands or placed in charge of major strategic operations that require the full might of the Starfighter Corps. Their counsel is sought on all matters of doctrine, pilot training, and fighter design.
