Wings of the Empire

The Wings of the Empire represent the organized fighting strength of the Imperial Starfighter Corps. From individual squadrons to the powerful Numbered Aero Forces, these formations give the Empire the ability to achieve and maintain space superiority across the galaxy.

Structure

The Starfighter Corps is organized into a clear hierarchy that allows both large scale strategic operations and precise tactical employment. The normal chain of command runs from Flights and Squadrons up through Groups, Wings, Sector Wings, and finally the Numbered Aero Forces assigned to each Oversector.

Major Formations

Numbered Aero Forces are the highest formations in the normal Order of Battle. There is one Numbered Aero Force for each of the twenty Priority Oversectors. They coordinate all Starfighter Corps operations within their assigned region.

The Grand Wings stand outside the normal Order of Battle. These elite formations are commanded by Grand Marshals and are reserved for the most critical campaigns and strategic operations.

Flexibility and Power

Thanks to a standardized Order of Battle and the ability to task organize as needed, the Starfighter Corps can rapidly concentrate force where it is required. Whether defending a single system or supporting a galaxy spanning campaign, the Wings of the Empire remain the swift and decisive striking arm of Imperial power.
