Imperial Army Divisions
The Imperial Army is organized into specialized Divisions, each responsible for a core aspect of ground warfare. These Divisions allow the Army to maintain focused expertise while operating as a cohesive combined arms force.
Major Divisions
The primary combat and support Divisions of the Imperial Army include:
Armor Division — Operates the Empire’s heavy tracked and repulsorlift tanks, walkers, and armored fighting vehicles. Provides overwhelming firepower and breakthrough capability on the battlefield.
Artillery Division — Deploys long range bombardment weapons, missile systems, and heavy cannons to soften enemy positions and provide fire support to advancing troops.
Engineering Division — Handles construction, fortification, demolition, and combat engineering tasks. Critical for building bases, breaching defenses, and maintaining infrastructure in theater.
Logistics Division — Manages supply chains, transportation, maintenance, and sustainment. Ensures that Imperial forces remain equipped and fed during extended campaigns.
Maritime Division — Responsible for planetary naval and amphibious operations. Operates surface warships, submarines, riverine craft, and amphibious assault vessels on oceans, seas, lakes, and major rivers across the galaxy.
Military Police Division — Maintains discipline, performs riot control duties, enforces military law, secures rear areas, and handles prisoner control.
Air Support Division — Provides close air support, reconnaissance, and aerial transport using gunships, bombers, and atmospheric fighters often in coordination with the Starfighter Corps.
Together, these Divisions form the backbone of Imperial ground power, enabling the Army to adapt to any mission across countless worlds.
