Imperial Maritime Division
The Maritime Division operates the Imperial Army’s planetary naval forces. It functions as a traditional navy on water-covered worlds, handling surface ships, submarines, riverine craft, and amphibious operations.
Role
The Division secures oceans, seas, major rivers, and coastal areas. It provides naval gunfire support, conducts amphibious landings, protects supply routes, and denies enemy use of waterways. It works closely with other Army divisions during planetary assaults.
Equipment
Maritime forces field a wide range of vessels including destroyers, submersibles, amphibious assault ships, patrol boats, and specialized aquatic vehicles designed for varied planetary environments.
Status
While the Imperial Navy dominates deep space, the Maritime Division gives the Army dominance over planetary waters. It ensures that no ocean or river remains beyond Imperial control.
