CompForce Assault is COMPNOR's armed paramilitary reserve. It provides disciplined formations for the defense of essential sites, reinforcement of Imperial operations, and stabilization duties that exceed ordinary civic support.
Assault units may secure COMPNOR facilities, protect relief operations, reinforce threatened installations, support the suppression of organized armed violence, and augment Imperial forces during declared emergencies or campaigns. They are employed where trained collective force is necessary, not as routine street police.
Units are organized into standardized formations under commissioned CompForce officers. Personnel receive military-grade instruction in weapons, small-unit tactics, communications, first aid, detention rules, and the law of armed service. Readiness is inspected jointly with the Ministry of War when units are certified for military support.
In military theaters, Assault formations are attached to an Army, Navy, Stormtrooper, or other authorized command and obey that command's operational orders and rules of engagement. Outside military deployment they remain under CompForce administration and the authority named in the deployment instrument. Their Allegiant General does not outrank Imperial High Command.
Force must be necessary, proportionate to the mission, and recorded. Prisoners and evidence are transferred promptly to competent authorities. Allegations of criminal conduct are investigated outside the accused unit's immediate command, while operational failures are reviewed through both CompForce and the receiving command.
Assault gives COMPNOR a real reserve capacity without confusing political commitment with military competence. Its legitimacy depends upon training, lawful orders, and restraint.
