The Science Group

The Science Group connects the Empire's scientific and technical communities with public needs and long-term Imperial priorities. It provides a forum in which researchers, engineers, institutions, and citizens can exchange knowledge across sector and disciplinary boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Organize scientific congresses, technical exchanges, and public lectures.
• Identify research with broad civil value in health, agriculture, energy, transportation, communications, and environmental recovery.
• Advise on research infrastructure, open technical standards, and the training of specialists.
• Support responsible communication of scientific findings to policymakers and the public.
• Recommend cooperative projects that exceed the capacity of a single world or institution.

Authority and Ethics

The Ministry of Science establishes Imperial research policy and administers government programs. The Group neither commands laboratories nor approves classified weapons research. Work involving sapient subjects, dangerous materials, protected worlds, or security restrictions remains under the appropriate legal and ministerial controls.

Partnerships

The Group collaborates with universities, guilds, industry, territorial governments, and the Ministries of Science, Health, Education, Energy, Agriculture, and War. Commercial sponsorship and conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Scientific achievement strengthens the Empire when it is rigorous, responsibly applied, and translated into better lives and stronger institutions. The Group exists to make that translation possible.
