SAG Recruitment conducts public outreach, establishes local chapters, and helps families decide whether Sub-Adult Group membership is appropriate for them.

Responsibilities

  • Explain SAG programs, expectations, costs, safeguards, and complaint procedures.
  • Train chapter recruiters and maintain accurate public information.
  • Assist communities in forming chapters with qualified leadership and sustainable facilities.
  • Coordinate enrollment periods, introductory events, and membership records.
  • Ensure outreach reaches remote, low-income, disabled, and minority-language communities.

Recruitment Standards

Recruitment must be truthful and age-appropriate. Enrollment goals do not justify pressure upon children, families, schools, or employers. Recruiters may describe future educational, civil, and service opportunities, but may not promise appointments, military commissions, or preferential treatment.

Chapter Development

Before recognizing a chapter, Recruitment verifies supervision, facilities, safety plans, financial support, and access to the four SAG branches. New chapters receive provisional oversight until they demonstrate stable administration.

Retention Through Quality

The strongest recruitment program is a worthwhile organization. Membership should grow because families see safe activities, capable mentors, useful learning, and genuine service to their communities.
