Sub-Adult Group Motivation

Motivation is SAG's branch of discipline, correction, and renewed commitment. It intervenes when members fail their duties, lose direction, reject chapter standards, or show conduct incompatible with reliable Imperial service.

Methods

• Formal counseling, peer mentorship, goal schedules, and supervised improvement plans.
• Corrective drill, additional study, restitution, loss of privilege, and reassignment of responsibility.
• Leadership training for members whose ability lacks discipline or judgment.
• Structured residential programs where authorized by family, welfare, educational, or judicial authority.
• Referral to medical, educational, protective, or security authorities when a matter exceeds SAG jurisdiction.

Assessment

Motivation establishes whether failure arises from misconduct, hardship, poor instruction, illness, hostile influence, or deliberate disloyalty. Its officers are neither interrogators nor clinicians, and suspicion is not proof. They record findings, protect necessary confidence, and refer criminal or security matters to competent authority.

Discipline and Review

Corrective action follows published procedure, gives the member notice and an opportunity to answer, and permits review beyond the local chapter. Training may be stern, repetitive, and exacting; it may not employ cruelty, humiliation, collective punishment, unlawful confinement, or coercive indoctrination.

Return to Duty

Success is demonstrated through conduct: restored reliability, completed obligations, command of the relevant standard, and useful participation. When continued membership is unsuitable, Motivation recommends honorable separation or removal under SAG procedure.
