The Justice Group is the Coalition for Progress's civic and legal-policy body. It promotes consistent administration of law, professional competence, and public understanding of Imperial justice.

Responsibilities

  • Compare sector and planetary codes and recommend harmonization where conflicting rules obstruct justice.
  • Support continuing education for judges, advocates, court officers, and local legal administrators.
  • Prepare plain-language civic guides to legal procedure and lawful avenues of petition.
  • Study access to courts, delays, records, detention practices, and enforcement coordination.
  • Convene professional consultation on proposed reforms and submit findings to the Ministry of Justice, Senate, or courts as appropriate.

Relationship to Imperial Justice

The Group is not a court, prosecutor, police service, or disciplinary tribunal. It cannot decide cases, issue warrants, bring charges, direct the Judicial Forces, or interfere with judicial independence. The Ministry of Justice and Procurator of Justice control Imperial prosecutions; courts interpret law; the Judicial Forces execute lawful court authority.

Coordination

The Group works with the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Corrections, Supreme Court, territorial judiciaries, Inspectorate, and professional associations. Evidence of misconduct is referred to the competent authority rather than adjudicated within COMPNOR.

Justice and the New Order

Order becomes durable when law is intelligible, consistently administered, and capable of correcting its own failures. The Justice Group serves that aim through standards, education, and careful reform.
