The Art Group

The Art Group strengthens the cultural life of the Empire by supporting creative work, preserving inherited traditions, and ensuring that citizens across the galaxy can encounter the histories and achievements of their own communities.

Responsibilities

• Administer juried grants, exhibitions, festivals, and public commissions.
• Connect artists, performers, guilds, museums, archives, and patrons across sectors.
• Advise on the artistic quality and historical accuracy of civic memorials and public spaces.
• Support restoration after war, disaster, theft, or neglect in cooperation with Antiquities and Culture.
• Maintain exchange programs that allow regional traditions to be seen without reducing them to a single Coruscanti style.

Art and Public Service

The Group may commission works commemorating service, sacrifice, reconstruction, and Imperial unity. Public commissions are identified as such and subject to professional review. Political purpose does not excuse poor workmanship, false history, or the destruction of local heritage.

Partnerships

The Ministry of Culture retains responsibility for cultural policy, while the Ministry of Antiquities governs protected objects and sites. Education institutions, territorial governments, and private patrons remain essential partners. The Art Group convenes them and broadens participation.

The New Order is best represented by a civilization confident enough to create, remember, and debate its inheritance. The Art Group therefore promotes excellence and civic responsibility while leaving room for the many distinct voices of the Empire.
