The Commerce Group is the Coalition for Progress's forum for productive enterprise. It brings together merchants, manufacturers, labor representatives, consumers, financial specialists, and local officials to identify practical obstacles to lawful trade.
The Ministry regulates commerce and executes Imperial economic policy. The Group does neither. It supplies consultation, field evidence, and civic coordination, and may assist with public information when regulations change. Finance, Transportation, Agriculture, Energy, and territorial authorities are included where their jurisdictions are affected.
Membership may not be used to secure contracts, evade regulation, suppress competitors, or obtain privileged information. Conflicts of interest are recorded, and suspected corruption is referred to the Inspectorate or competent investigative authority.
A stable Empire requires productive worlds linked by trustworthy exchange. The Group's task is to ensure that policy is informed by those who build, move, sell, and use the goods upon which Imperial life depends.
