The Commerce Group

The Commerce Group organizes the productive life of the Empire in support of the New Order. It brings together merchants, manufacturers, labor representatives, consumers, financial specialists, professional guilds, and public officials to identify conditions that strengthen or endanger lawful prosperity.

Responsibilities

• Report upon commercial conditions through the Sector Monitors.
• Study supply failures, monopolistic abuse, corruption, unlawful market exclusion, and administrative burdens.
• Organize trade councils, labor and professional forums, and public campaigns supporting Imperial economic policy.
• Support commercial recovery and integration in territories affected by war, separatism, or disaster.
• Promote reliable standards, honest contracting, apprenticeships, responsible employment, and continuity of essential production.

Political and Economic Stability

Commerce is not separate from public order. The Group examines whether commercial institutions bind a world more securely to the Empire or permit criminal syndicates, separatist interests, foreign influence, or private monopolies to exercise political power. Serious security concerns are referred to the ISB; administrative and economic remedies are transmitted to the competent ministries or the Coalition for Improvements.

Relationship with Government

The Ministry of Commerce regulates trade and executes Imperial economic policy. The Group supplies organized political support, field evidence, professional cooperation, and public explanation. It works with Finance, Transportation, Agriculture, Energy, regional governments, and other authorities where their jurisdictions are affected.

Integrity

COMPNOR membership does not confer a private entitlement to contracts, regulatory immunity, or classified information. Conflicts of interest are recorded, and corruption is referred to the Inspectorate or competent investigative authority. The influence of the Group is exercised for Imperial prosperity, not private enrichment.
