ISB Internal Affairs protects Imperial institutions from corruption, penetration, disloyalty, abuse of authority, and compromise by persons entrusted with public power or sensitive access.

Jurisdiction

The branch investigates ISB personnel and may conduct security and loyalty cases within COMPNOR, ministries, territorial administrations, and military institutions when authorized. Routine employee discipline remains with the employing body; ordinary corruption and administrative failure may fall to the Inspectorate or criminal investigators.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate espionage, sabotage, undisclosed hostile contacts, and serious security breaches by Imperial personnel.
  • Examine abuse of classified access, retaliation, obstruction, and compromise of security investigations.
  • Conduct sensitive background and continuing-vetting inquiries.
  • Protect complainants, sources, and evidence from interference by senior officials.
  • Refer criminal, administrative, or military findings to the authority empowered to act.

Independence

Cases involving senior ISB leadership are reported outside the ordinary chain to the Select Committee, Ruling Council, Inspectorate, or Ministry of Justice as appropriate. Subjects are not presumed disloyal merely because an allegation has been made.

Loyalty and Law

Loyalty officers advise commands and identify genuine security concerns; they do not demand personal allegiance to individual superiors. ISB Marshals execute specialized authorities but remain accountable to law, records, and review.
